Marketing Representative – Greece

Promoting our Marine Agency Services division in the Greek market is the focus of our Marketing Representative, Mr Petros Bournias. The Greek market continues to be a major hub for ship owners, charterers, operators, and managers. Petros is a dedicated local contact to our clients for all their requirements in the Asia Pacific region and provides the local resources and support as needed. In addition, Petros also covers Turkey, with regular visits and communication to serve these clients.

We recently relocated to new office in Piraeus, and with port views !

Mission to Seafarer’s Adventure Race

Ben Line : did you know….?

The Ben Line name has been active in shipping since 1825, but why “Ben” ..?

Founded in Scotland, the companies’ vessels were all named after Scottish mountains, as shown on this poster from the 1990’s !. The vessels were well known and respected in the Industry as being of high quality and ground breaking design. MACN  (Maritime Anti-Corruption Network)

As part of our ongoing commitment to actively supporting MACN, Therry van Vreden and Matthew Soloman attended the MACN Fall Members Meeting in Dubai on November 29-30,  2022 attended by 120 participants.

The meeting was well attended by a mixture of representatives from the global maritime community. 

Notable by their presence this year were representatives of the Suez Canal Authority.  The Suez Canal has been a real hotspot for compliance issues, and so the presence of a senior delegation at the event was encouraging.

With respect to our region, there has been considerable traction with stakeholders in India with reference to the MACN collective action there.  A further collective action focus will be Malaysia in 2023, and BLAM will play its part in supporting that initiative.

Customer Gathering – Greece – Glyfida, 10^th November 2022

Ben Line Agencies (Marine Agency division) recently hosted a customer gathering in Glyfida, with more than 50 attendees from over 20 companies. Our global network of Commercial Representatives promoting Ben Line Services, combined with our Asiapac network, has been a pillar of our commercial strategy for many years, and indeed has proved to be appreciated by our customers.

In attendance from Ben Line were our European based representatives ; Andrew Kerr, Noemi Vassdal, Petros Bournias, Candy Wu, Bernard Rees, Dmitry Krotov, and USA based representative, Steve Bradshaw. Thomas Paterson, Singapore Country Manager, also attended the event. Between them, they cover all of Europe, USA and Asiapac.
