Sales Executive – Marine Agency Department (Coal)

Ben Line Agencies is developing Sales activity in the Marine Agency Department and recruiting “Sales Executives” to join our team. Activity would be focused on COAL, therefore the candidate must have proven track record of sales ability in the coal sector to develop customer and agency appointments.

Job Description:

  • Investigate the market to find customers.
  • Promote freight agency services via direct meetings, telephone, and email.
  • Follow up inquiries from clients (including liaising with the Operations Department and branch offices for required information).
  • Gather market information for reporting purposes.
  • Co-operate with Operations team for smooth working and job allocation.
  • Assist Group Sales overseas with sales leads and marketing information.
  • Reporting to senior management of commercial results and planning.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the coal sector.
  • Experience in Marine Agency activity.
  • Can communicate (both spoken and written) fluently in English.

Chemical Logistics – Technical Manager

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years' experience in repairing and maintaining lifting equipment (hydraulics), compressors, bulk transportation equipment, in the port industry, automotive mechanics or manufacturing plants.
  • Min 5 years' experience of ISO tank operation.
  • Min 5 years' experience of co-ordinating with depots, trucking, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Skilled in reading technical drawings: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic.
  • Hard-working, experienced, and capable to work in manufacturing sites and outdoor environment.
  • Ability to work within a team, collaborate, have good health, be honest in work, and have a high sense of responsibility.

Role:

Ben Line Agencies Indonesia has a requirement to add experienced and capable resource to our business to assist in the ongoing development of the Indonesia market.

The Technical Manager in the Chemical Logistics division will work closely with local operations and sales teams, vendors, and clients. Also, in partnership with the Group Management for all operational, commercial, technical and HSEQ matters.

The role is Jakarta based and would involve regular domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Scope:

  • Repairing and (preventive) maintenance of lifting equipment, tipping trailers, tipping platforms (hydraulic) and mechanical tractors, trucks.
  • Repairing and (preventive) maintenance of industrial compressor equipment, both diesel and electrically powered, with high capacity.
  • Repairing and (preventive) maintenance of industrial powder and granulates conveying equipment, including but not limited to rotary valve, silo, connecting piping and hoses.
  • Co-ordination with depots for ISO tank storage, repair, and maintenance.
  • Co-ordination with trucking vendors.
  • Able to design and plan the conveying capacity and related equipment for the conveying of powder and granulates from trucks/containers/trailers to silos.
  • Monitor equipment status, promptly report to leaders, manage periodic maintenance plans or emergency maintenance for machines and equipment.
  • Ensure maximum availability of equipment for production operations is maintained.
  • Ensure that planning, scheduling, and unscheduled repairs are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively, with high quality of service.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, providing daily information and reports on equipment availability, equipment vehicle operating hours and repair status.
  • Recommend training courses, internal training to improve skills and have timely backup.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management for required reporting.
