Assistant Sales Manager – ISO Tanks & Chemical Logistics
Role:
The function of this role is to actively market and canvas Malaysia for customers which grow our tank container & chemical logistics business. Also, to develop existing customers. In addition, to pro-actively plan and lead the commercial activities for the tank container & chemical logistics business.
Scope:
- To generate and secure new business for the company.
- Analysis product and services opportunities to create potential pipeline.
- Support tender management.
- Coordinate with Sales and operational teams within the network on commercial activities, opportunities, and onboarding new business.
- To schedule visits & meeting with client and write-up clear visit reports as per company guidelines.
- Maintain and update client information details in the system to ensure efficiency in market coverage.
- To liaise directly with all countries sales in the follow-up of opportunities, and ensure they are responded timely.
Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Business / Management / Shipping / Logistics.
- Experience in tank containers and chemical logistics is required.
- Proactive with a commercial view.
- A team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential.
- Able to make decisions and take ownership.
- Willingness to learn on the job.
- Patience and ability to work under pressure.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
